Funerals / Memorials

Working with people to prepare a fitting and meaningful funeral ceremony for someone they love, is undoubtedly one of the most privileged and humbling parts of my job.  I believe a funeral service should be a very personal thing, unique and individual, and should both reflect the character of the deceased and allow those attending to remember and say goodbye in their own way, with smiles as well as tears.

I have worked with many families at the time of their bereavement,  and more recently with several people who have wanted to put their affairs in order before their death and discuss and plan their own funeral service.

I am someone who has a personal faith, and I believe it is important to create a service incorporating whatever is meaningful for you and your loved one, whether that includes prayers and religious readings and music, or contemporary readings and music.

I can also conduct services for the scattering or interring of ashes, where a family wants support to do this.
